Frank Driver commemoration

A commemoration marking the 25th anniversary of the death of Frank Driver took place in Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare on 4 November.
Driver was an honorary vice president of Sinn Féin when he died in 1981 at the age of 74. The previous year he had laid a wreath in Bodenstown on behalf of the republican movement.
Driver was interned in the Curragh at the age of 15. A Kildare native, he was born in Ballymore Eustace on the border with Wicklow and took part in the IRA border campaign of the 1950s.
