Mary Lou for EU debate at University of Limerick

Student News: Mary Lou goes to Limerick

The University of Limerick (UL) will be the venue for a forthcoming debate on Ireland's future in the EU, between Mary Lou McDonald MEP and Simon Coveney MEP of Fine Gael.

The debate, entitled What is Ireland's Future Within the EU, begins at 7.30pm and is chaired by Professor Alex Warleigh of the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University.

The event is a joint venture between UL Young Fine Gael and the newly re-organised University of Limerick Sinn Féin. It promises to be interesting and lively and is likely to showcase two very different visions for the European project.

It's an important event, both in the college calendar, and that of the new Sinn Féin group. Seating will be restricted to approximately 170, so early arrival is vital. Further details can be obtained by ringing 087-6221078 or via email at [email protected] .
