A suggestion for Bertie to solve the A&E crisis

As we report this week, the Taoiseach told the Dáil that there were "zero" people on trolleys in the Accident and Emergency unit in Monaghan General Hospital. Bertie Ahern is correct. There is no one on a trolley there because the hospital has no A&E unit.

This prompts us to put a suggestion to Bertie to solve the A&E crisis. Why not close down all our A&E units and then there would definitely be nobody on trollies?
