Anger as graves vandalised
Councillor Jarlath McNulty, the Sinn Féin Chair of Strabane District Council, says local people are in no doubt that the PSNI was responsible for the destruction of wreaths and family floral tributes left at the graves of IRA Volunteers Charlie Breslin and Michael and David Devine.
A large number of wreaths on the graves of the three Volunteers were broken and scattered over a wide area. "The vandalism was discovered on Monday morning and local people are convinced that it was carried out by members of the PSNI, who were seen in the graveyard last night," said McNulty.
"Wreaths and floral tributes can be replaced, but this just compounds the suffering that the Breslin and Devine families have gone through over the years.
