Challenge for first nationalist seat in Lisburn North

Sinn Féin is confident that it is poised to make an historic breakthrough in the Lisburn Council elections next May in the Lisburn North electoral area through candidate Jacqui Currie.

Speaking about the challenge for Lisburn North, Sinn Féin Council Leader Paul Butler said Jacqui is a first class candidate.

Currie says it is her intention to seize the opportunity to provide nationalists in Lisburn North with a voice for the first time.

A graduate of Queen's University, Jacqui is a long-time Sinn Féin activist and the party's Six-County women's officer, responsible for the promotion of women in the party.
