De Brún to address students at Belfast meeting

Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre de Brún is to address a meeting in St Mary's College on the Falls Road in Belfast, aimed at encouraging young people and women to join Sinn Féin.

The meeting, to be held at 1pm on 9 December, is organised by Sinn Féin Choláiste Mhuire in conjunction with the Belfast Executive of Ógra Shinn Féin.

Speaking to An Phoblacht, Pádraig Maxwell of Ógra said the meeting is just one in a series of events that are being organised throughout the city aimed at regenerating Sinn Féin.

"With the party celebrating 100 years of resistance, we want to promote Sinn Féin and encourage young people and women to join and become active in the pursuit of a united Ireland."

In the last two years, Sinn Féin has built up a presence in universities and colleges throughout the North and has seen party members becoming active in the student unions and student campaigns as well promote Sinn Féin policies on campus.
