Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams will be visiting parts of the East and South constituencies on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 June. On Thursday, Adams will meet with Wicklow local election candidates at Loughlinstown Hospital, before heading to Gorey Community School in Wexford, where he will meet the younger residents of the area. Health and education are two of the major issues in the South East, and the Sinn Féin President will be meeting people who have been most affected by the government's failure to provide in both these areas.

In Gorey, he will also visit the Community Centre and meet with the athletes in the local boxing club and Rangers soccer club.

Adams will then visit Enniscorthy, where he will discuss the issues of concern in the area with local candidate Noreen Sheridan. He will go on to Wexford County Hospital, where he will meet staff.

Friday is another packed day for the Sinn Féin leader. He will travel to New Ross and then to Waterford, where he will meet the local candidates. The health issue will be brought up again when he meets with the Cancer Care Alliance, before proceeding to a massive radiotherapy march in the city. Upwards of 5,000 people are expected to attend the march, which has been called to demand radiotherapy services for the Southeast.
