Remembering all our martyrs who died on Hunger-strike 1917-1981
THE Hunger Strike Commemoration will now take place on Sunday 30th (moved from Saturday 29th) October, assemble 2pm at Connolly Hall for parade to the National Monument Grand Parade.
Speakers Séanna Breathnach (former POW, Blanketman and O/C H-Blocks); Malachy McCreesh (brother of Ray); and Cllr Mick Nugent.
MacCurtain/MacSwiney and Carrick-on-Suir RFBs will be in attendance.
A function will follow the commemoration at Mo Chuisle's Bar, Blarney Street. Ballads by Clann Éireann.
Organised by the Phoenix Historical Society (Cork) and supported by Sinn Féin Cuige Mumhan.
All areas in Munster are asked to mobilise for this march which concludes a years events marking the 30th anniversary of the 1981 H-Blocks Hunger Strikes.
