Patsy O'Hara remembered in Derry

A large crowd attended the 22nd anniversary commemoration of INLA Volunteer Patsy O'Hara, who died in the 1981 Hunger Strike.

The Derryman spent 61 days on hunger strike before his death on 21 May. He was the fourth hunger striker to die.

At the ceremony at the INLA plot in Derry City Cemetery, where O'Hara is buried alongside fellow hunger striker Mickey Devine, Vincent Kelly of the IRSP referred to Patsy O'Hara's republican socialist politics.
