Irish multinational CRH's links to Apartheid Wall in Israel to be raised at AGM rally

NEXT Wednesday's AGM in Dun Laoghaire of the Irish-based multinational CRH building supplies firm will face a demonstration calling for it to cut its links with Israeli company Mashav and its activities in occupied Palestine. The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign says it wants to inform CRH shareholders and the Irish public of their company's complicity in human rights abuses in occupied Palestine. Free article

Sinn Féin NUI Maynooth fund-raiser for Haiti

THE Colm Dalton cumann of Sinn Féin in NUI Maynooth has raised the impressive sum of €1,071.45 for Concern's Haiti disaster fund at a function in County Kildare. The decision was made to amalgamate the annual function before Easter Week with an event that could make a difference, thus the 'The Shinner Shave' was born with beards decimated, long hair being shaved and legs and chests waxed, as well as music and entertainment provided.
