Other NewsWeekend of commemorative events in Derry's Creggan
The annual Eamonn Lafferty Commemoration took place on Saturday, 18 August in the Creggan, Derry. The commemoration marking the 36th Anniversary of the death of the Derry IRA Volunteer was part of a weekend of events in the Creggan which included a tour of republican plaques erected in memory of the Volunteers of Óglaigh na hÉireann who died on active service in the Creggan area. The tour, given by former comrades of the fallen volunteers, also took in in the republican graves in the City Cemetery.
