Sunday, 10 November saw a large crowd attend the annual Richard Coleman commemoration at the Coleman family plot in St Colmcille’s graveyard at Swords, County Dublin. Ceremonies were chaired by Sinn Féin candidate for North Dublin, Matt McCormack, who compared the life, death and ideals of Richard Coleman to those of IRA volunteer Christy Harford, who died in the Swords area in 1992.
The main address was delivered by Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh, who noted the increased turnout at the commemoration since last year’s event and the fact that the area is now home to two Sinn Féin cumainn.
Dublin North is a rapidly expanding area for Sinn Féin. Anyone interested in joining or helping out should contact Paul Lynch at 086 1252739.
