South Antrim councillor and veteran republican Martin Meehan will chair a memorial lecture in honour of Hunger Striker Seán McCaughey this Sunday in Ardoyne. The lecture has been organised by the Ardoyne Commemoration Committee and will outline the contribution and legacy of North Belfast man McCaughey, who died on hunger strike in Dublin in 1946. Ardoyne historian and ex-internee Paul Liggett and 1981 Hunger Striker Laurence McKeown will be the speakers at the lecture, which starts at 7pm at the Ardoyne Fleadh Office in the Flax Centre.
