• MARCH/COMMEMORATION: Sunday 10 April. Assemble at the 1916 Monument at
Supervalue Car Park across from the Cathedral at 12.pm. March to the
Monument on Dublin Road of the Six Men executed there during the Civil War
1923. A decade of the Rosary will be read in honour of those men's deep
religious beliefs at 1.00 and wreaths will be laid. Ex-POW speakers and
representative from Basque Solidarity Group also. All cumainn and solidarity
groups welcome. Bring banners. Reception after at Tuam Stars GAA Complex. On
Saturday evening 9 April there will be a reception at the Rustic Vaults
function room, Quinns Pub from 7-9 when the public is invited to meet the
speakers and hear first hand of conditions that prisoners have to endure
during times of conflict. There will also be a poetry reading accompanied by
acoustics from an eminent local artist. Later that evening Tuam SF will be
hosting a fundraising event at the Wool Stores behind Browne's Pub. Celtic
Storm will entertain the crowd and entry fee is €5. For more info contact

• PHOTO EXHIBITION: North Inner City Folklore Project in Dublin is
organising a photographic exhibition, titled Looking Back, to be shown this
September at the Belvedere Youth Club on Lower Buckingham Street. As part of
that exhibition, which will document the history of the area in photographs,
archivist Terry Fagan is seeking pictures of Belfast newsboys, who regularly
played football against the Belvedere Newsboys Club in Dublin from the 1930s
to the 1950s. Anyone who may have relevant material to lend is asked to

his life, copied and promptly returned
