Belfast communities defy criminal killers

THE CRIMINALS who shot dead Gerard 'Jock' Davison on Tuesday 5 May were challenged by the hundreds of people who attended Friday night's vigil in his memory to “get off the backs of the community”.

Jock was fatally attacked by a gunman as he went to work in the Markets area of south Belfast.

At the vigil, organised by the community and friends of the dead man, the message was sent out: 'There is no place in this community for thugs and gangsters.'
