Coláiste Feirste to get new sports complex
SPEAKING after a ceremony where she cut the first sod for the new state-of-the-art sports facility for the North’s only Irish-language secondary school, Sinn Féin’s Carál Ní Chuilín praised the work of the party’s elected representatives for the effort they put in to secure funding for the school’s Sportlann.
She also commended the efforts of the staff of Coláiste Feirste for their vision as they continue to expand the school which saw its first pupils through its doors 23 years ago.
The new sports complex on the derelict site of the old Beechmount Leisure Centre will be a decisive step in the development of the Gaeltacht Quarter, according to Seán Mistéil, Chair of the development agency Forbairt Feirste.
