The 'Cumann na mBan 100th Anniversary Celebration' will take place at 7pm in Wynn's Hotel, Abbey Street, Dublin, on 2 April and will include an exhibition on Cumann na mBan and a dramatic re-enactment of the organisation's first meeting.
The memoirs of Irish Citizen Army Volunteer Margaret Skinnider on her part in the 1916 Rising have also been republished and will be launched by Sinn Féin TD and historian Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD.
The main speaker on the night will be historian Liz Gillis, author of The Fall of Dublin, which deals with the Civil War in the capital, and whose upcoming book will look at the history of Cumann na mBan in Dublin. Sinn Féin Dublin EU candidate Lynn Boylan will also speak at the event
