Video: Strabane and Lifford vote Yes to Irish unity

THE People's Referendum on Irish unity in the border towns of Strabane and Lifford in Tyrone and Donegal on the 23 November saw the public vote overwhelmingly in favour of reunification.
Chairperson of the Strabane and Lifford 'United Ireland - You Decide' campaign, Grace McDermott, told An Phoblacht she was delighted with the result and the extensive media coverage the campaign received.
"Our main aim was to promote debate about the issue of Irish unity and I think we have been very successful in doing that," she said.
Results:
Yes: 409 (93.4%)
No: 29 (6.6%)
Turnout: 448 (25.72%)
