G8 summit expectations? 'Give Ireland back to the Irish'
THE International Business Times TV service got a bit of a surprise when host Jessica Menton asked one financial services expert what he'd like to see come out of the G8 summit: “Give Ireland back to the Irish,” Ben Willis of Albert Fried & Co said.
Speaking from the New York Stock Exchange, the MD of one of the premier financial services and investment firms explained the possibility of difficulties arising between the US and Japan at the G8 in relation to currency matters and quantitative easing.
But when asked about whether he had any expectations for the summit, Willis said he wanted central bank co-ordination of currency markets and that he doesn't think Ireland should be tied into Britain.
His preferred outcome?
“Give Ireland back to the Irish.”
