Eamonn Mallie and Mary Lou McDonald for Crossmaglen debate on ‘A United Ireland’
There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience
INTERNATIONALLY-RENOWNED commentator and broadcaster Eamonn Mallie – born in South Armagh – will be chairing tonight’s (Tuesday’s) debate in Crossmaglen between unionists and republicans, including Mary Lou McDonald TD.
The panel also includes unionist Roy Garland, Senator Jim D’Arcy and Economist Conor Patterson.
There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
Debate starts 7:30pm.
Spokesperson Emma McArdle said the group are pleased that people with diverse opinions have agreed to come and share their point of view.
“We think that we have a really good spread of people taking part from all across the spectrum.
“I think the fact that renowned journalists, an economist and senior politicians from across the country will be in Crossmaglen discussing a united Ireland is a reflection of how important this issue is.
“The committee wants everybody to come along to this debate and hear what our guests have to say. There will be an opportunity for people to ask any questions they have and to have their say.
