IRA Volunteer Fra Fox laid to rest

THE funeral of IRA Volunteer Fra Fox took place on Friday 23 November in Hannahstown Cemetery, west Belfast. Fra died on Tuesday 20 November.
Republicans across the country were among the large crowd of republicans who attended the funeral, an indication of the esteem in which Fra was held.
Martin Ferris TD from Kerry was there to pay his respects while joint First Minister Martin McGuinness MP took time out from a heavy schedule to attend.
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD, delivering the graveside oration, commended Fra for his lifelong commitment to the republican struggle, describing him as a hero and his wife, Marie, a genuine heroine.
Gerry praised Fra’s wife and family for their strength through a hard time.
