Free Derry Wall vigil for release of Marian Price
'It has long since passed the time when the British Government moved to show some genuine compassion in this case'
DERRY Sinn Féin Councillor Paul Fleming has repeated Sinn Féin’s call for the release of Marian Price. He made his call after attending a vigil to highlight the case at Free Derry Wall on Monday night.
“For some time, Sinn Féin have been raising serious concerns about Marian’s health. It is unacceptable that, despite being moved from prison, she remains in custody with her historic licence still revoked.
“It has long since passed the time when the British Government moved to show some genuine compassion in this case, reinstate Marian Price’s licence and allow her to return to the care of her family without any further delay.”
Sinn Féin have continuously raised this matter with the British Government and the Department of Justice in Dublin.
