Sinn Féin Republican Youth pipped for top spot in PIPS fund-raiser

THERE was a terrific sporting atmosphere at Sunday's cross-party soccer challenge fund-raiser in Belfast for suicide prevention charity PIPS.

Sinn Féin Republican Youth, Alliance, SDLP, and the Ulster Unionist Party fielded teams in good-natured rivalry at Crusaders FC's Seaview stadium to raise more than £500 for the very worthy cause.

Among those turning up to lend their support was Belfast Deputy Mayor Tierna Cunningham (pictured with some of the SFRY team below).
