Twittering Tom Elliott tackles Gerry Adams in Euro 2012 clash
'When I said I wasn’t supporting Fermanagh GAA a few years ago there was endless interest from media and criticism from many'
THE Ulster Unionist Party leader before ‘TV celebrity’ Mike Nesbitt took over just couldn’t get his head around why Gerry Adams wasn’t supporting England in their Euro 2012 quarter-final clash with Italy last night.
Tweeting ahead of England’s exit, Tom Elliott MLA said:
“Interesting to hear Gerry Adams say he wasn't supporting England tonight."
Twittering Tom added:
“When I said I wasn’t supporting Fermanagh GAA a few years ago there was endless interest from media and criticism from many, not so for Adams.”
Er, maybe that’s because you are from Fermanagh and an MLA representing Fermanagh, Tom – Gerry certainly isn’t from En-ger-land.
