Countdown to 'Celebrating the Women

A LIMITED number of tickets are available for the much-anticipated national ‘Celebrating the Women of Struggle’ dinner dance in the Fir Trees Hotel, Strabane, on Saturday, May 15th.
The honourees are Rose Dugdale, Pádraigín Uí Mhurchadha, Eibhlín Glenholmes and Suzanne McGillion. A posthumous presentation will be made to the family of West Tyrone Ógra activist Paula Murphy, who died tragically in a car accident on Easter Sunday 2003.
Hosts Ógra Shinn Féin say the event is “to pay tribute to and celebrate the extraordinary, yet often overlooked, role of women in Ireland’s freedom struggle”.
