Hoax bomb at community centre
In the nationalist Rathenraw Estate in Antrim town the Red Hand Defenders said they left a hoax bomb outside a local community centre.
Houses were evacuated in the estate after a warning was telephoned to a newsroom claimed that a device had been left outside the community centre on Saturday evening 4 September . Evacuated families were allowed to return home after the object was declared a hoax by a British Army bomb team.
This is the most recent in a spate of loyalist attacks on Catholics in the Antrim area.
