TalkTalk cuts off 575 jobs without warning

THE axing of 575 jobs in Waterford by the British-based TalkTalk communications company and the manner in which workers heard the news has left people stunned.
TalkTalk had laid its plans for sacking almost 600 staff with no prior notice to the Irish Government or IDA Ireland, the state agency responsible for foreign investment in Ireland, never mind the workers.
