MEMBERS of Sinn Féin placed a picket on Adams Auctioneers on Dublin's Stephen's Green on Tuesday in protest at the sale of significant Irish historical artifacts. Speaking at the picket South Dublin Sinn Féin by-election candidate Shaun Tracey called on the Government to compulsorily purchase the items and put them on public display in the National Museum for the benefit of all Irish people and tourists to our country. Bandon Cumann cleans up river walkway

The Commdt. Charlie Hurley Cumann, Sinn Féin organised a clean-up of the Bandon River Walkway on Friday night 24 July. A group of eight people volunteered to assist in the clean-up. The initiative was a follow up to a similar action last year when the Bandon Sinn Féin Cumann organised to do a clean-up the same area. At the time they collected about forty refuse bags of beer cans and bottles. This issue was then highlighted on the local radio and also with An Garda Siochana. Free article

Athlone Dinner Dance Major Success

A large crowd attended Athlone Sinn Féin's first annual dinner dance at The Shamrock Lodge Country House Hotel, last Thursday 23 April. The huge crowd was in attendance to welcome Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams and EU candidate for the North and West constituency Councillor Pádraig Mac Lochlainn. Free article

SINN FÉIN South Belfast MLA Alex Maskey has expressed his sympathies and those of his party to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Belfast Solicitor Oliver Kelly who died last week. Alex Maskey said, "I want on behalf of myself, my family and Sinn Féin, to extend my deepest sympathies to the Kelly family on their tragic loss; in particular our thoughts are with Oliver's children Caoimhe, Diarmuid, Cathal and Sorcha. Oliver's passing is all the more harder for his family after the deaths of his brother Billy and John over a short period of time for the family. Free article
