Queen's Students' Union hosts collusion exhibition

Queen's University Students' Union played host to the An Fhírinne collusion exhibition on Wednesday 8 December. An Fhírinne is the campaign for truth led by the families of the victims of collusion, a policy of assassination carried out by unionist killers at the behest of the British Government. The exhibition carries the photographs and details of state-sponsored killing of Irish citizens over the past 30 years. Free article

Butler selected for Lagan Valley

Sinn Féin has selected Councillor Paul Butler to stand in next year's Westminster election in Lagan Valley. The party has been a breath of fresh air to politics in the Lagan Valley constituency said Gerry Adams, welcoming the announcement. Family and friends from far and near gathered in Portarlington on Saturday 20 November to pay their final tribute to lifelong republican Liam O'Mahony. Born in Dublin's North Strand, Liam was reared with a love for all things Irish, from the language to Irish music and games. He drew inspiration from Pearse and Connolly and it was fitting that a larger than life Easter Lily marked the spot of his final resting place and that his coffin was wrapped in the Tricolour.
