Sinn Féin representative Conor Murphy has hit out at the individuals responsible for an extortion attempt on two South Down businessmen. On Wednesday 30 July, people masquerading as republicans demanded £3,000 from the two businessmen. The Catholic Church's statement attacking gay marriages has been slammed by Sinn Féin Dáil spokesperson on Social and Family Affairs Seán Crowe.
