Sinn Féin meets FÁS Director General

Joanne Spain, Pearse Doherty and Arthur Morgan before the meeting with Roddy Molloy, Director General of FÁS

On Wednesday as part of Sinn Féin focus on retraining, upskilling and job creation Sinn Féin's Economic Affairs spokesperson Arthur Morgan TD and Regional Development spokesperson Senator Pearse Doherty met with Roddy Molloy, Director General of FÁS, the Training and Employment Authority in the 26 Counties. The Sinn Féin representatives met with Molloy to discuss the training FÁS is putting in place in order to enable the 26 Counties to meet the economic challenges which the state is now facing.

Tribute to Peter Corrigan

ON 25 October 1982, republican activist Peter Corrigan was shot dead by a unionist paramilitary death squad in Armagh City. The murder was claimed by a group styling itself the 'Protestant Action Force', which was known to be largely comprised of members of the UDR, the locally-recruited British Army regiment notorious for its involvement in collusion and sectarian attacks. The one person charged in connection with the killing was a UDR soldier.

Two-tier system threatened by flawed plan
