International: Plight of African nations on agenda in Cuba

Monday, 11 September marked the start of the 14th Summit of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), in Havana, Cuba. High in the agenda is Africa's challenges and tragedies, as half of the 116 member states of the NAM are African.

Church paint bombed by loyalists

The Church of Our Lady, in the Harryville area of Ballymena, was targeted by loyalist paint bombers on Monday night 11 September. This, the latest attack on the beleaguered chapel, saw at least two devices thrown at the chapel which has been targeted by loyalist thugs and unionist paramilitary gangs on many occasions over the years.

The contraversial trial is part of Baltazar Garzon's ongoing political campaign against Basque left wing nationalists. 90 journalists, human rights activists, lawyers, business people and political activists are being accused of providing ETA with political and logistical support over a period of two decades.
