Dublin Sinn Féin has launched a discussion document calling for investment and reform in Dublin Fire Brigade. Dublin Sinn Féin has announced that the party will nominate Críona Ní Dhálaigh to replace Andrew O'Connell, the party's outgoing Councillor for the South West Inner City, at the April meeting of Dublin City Council. The forthcoming demolition of the well known Dublin pub, The Widow Scallons, to be replaced by apartments, has raised concerns about the retention of the commemorative plaque dedicated to IRA Volunteer Martin 'Doco' Doherty, killed by unionist paramilitaries in an attempted bomb attack on the pub in 1994.
