Photo: Daithí Forde Free Kieran Milnes campaign relaunched Protestors picketing the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Belfast on Tuesday 1 November called for the immediate release of West Belfast man Kieran Milnes. Milnes was imprisoned for assaulting a teenager who was attempting to steal his girlfriend's car in Poleglass on October 2002. He was given a nine months sentence after being found guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm on the teenager. A quick look at the economy this week. Fire service criticised over discrimination case Sinn Féin's spokesperson on Equality and Human rights, Caitríona Ruane MLA, has questioned the attitude of the Fire Service in the Six Counties after it was revealed that they spent £79,000 defending themselves against an allegation of discrimination. Relief at passing of 'Love Ulster' rally Nationalists at interface areas in North and West Belfast breathed a sigh of relief at the passing of the 'Love Ulster' rally held along the Shankill Road on Saturday 29 October.
