End of hunger strike welcomed

Sinn Féin Assembly member Raymond McCartney welcomed the news on Tuesday that Liam Hannaway has decided to end his hunger strike. McCartney met with Justice Minister, David Ford, earlier on Tuesday to discuss Mr Hannaway's situation and the conditions in which prisoners are currently held in Maghaberry. Free article
Ó Snodaigh en route to Gaza

Dublin Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh is currently en route to join the Freedom Flotilla bringing much needed humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people of Gaza. The flotilla will attempt to break the illegal Israeli blockade. Speaking before he left Deputy Ó Snodaigh said,"When I left Gaza city in November 2008 on board another siege breaking ship, the Dignity, I had hoped that I would be returning some day to a city with the siege lifted.
