Former POW to stand in Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire Sinn Féin has selected former political prisoner, Michael O'Brien as its candidate to stand in the upcoming General Election. In his speech following his selection, O'Brien expressed delight at the vote of confidence given to him by those present and said he was "honoured to have been chosen by the party to fight the election campaign". Call to Taoiseach for Saturday voting

Wexford launches anti-Sellafield badge

Wexford Sinn Féin launched an anti-Sellafield badge in Wexford's Bull Ring on Saturday, 16 March on Wexford's Quayfront. Wexford Sinn Fein Councillor John Dwyer performed the launch, which was followed by a colourful protest with people dressed in decontamination suits carrying mock nuclear waste barrels down Wexford's Main Street and up along the quayfront.
