Great Escape remembered in West Belfast

Hundreds of people packed into the Whiterock Leisure Centre in West Belfast on Saturday evening, 21 June, for the 25th anniversary celebration of the great escape of 38 republican prisoners from the H-blocks in September 1983.
Many of the escapees were present on the night to hear the tale of their heroics recounted from start to finish. Pictured above are 16 of the escapees.
