Aer Lingus strike called offWORKERS at Aer Lingus have called off their proposed strike action after a meeting of union officials and company management made some headway in resolving issues over the effects of cost-cutting plans.The National Implementation Body invited all parties to the dispute to talks in Dublin. The conflict had originally begun due to Aer Lingus’s €20m cost-cutting plans that would have seen clerical staff and baggage handlers at Dublin Airport take pay cuts and work longer hours.
