McCartney backs calls for enquiry into murder of Eamonn 'Bronco' Bradley

Sinn Féin MLA Raymond McCartney, speaking following a vigil to mark the 25th Anniversary of   the murder of Eamonn ‘Bronco’ Bradley, has backed the Bradley family calls for an enquiry into his murder
Eamonn ‘Bronco’ Bradley was shot dead by the British Army’s Royal Anglican regiment on 25 August 1982. He was aged 23.
“I fully support the Bradley family in their search for the truth into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Bronco, which took place 25 years ago this weekend”, McCartney said.
“Saturday’s vigil was a very poignant occasion and it was heartening to see so many people in attendance to honour his memory and show support for the Bradley family in their search for the truth.
“Just two weeks ago thousands of people from across Ireland attended a rally in Belfast. The objective of that march and rally was to draw attention to collusion and British state violence – a policy which resulted in many thousands of victims who were killed, injured or bereaved and the administrative and institutional cover-up by the British Government and its state agencies”, he said.
