Other NewsEast Derry AGMEast Derry held its annual AGM on Thursday 19 January. Outgoing East Derry Comhairle Ceantair Chair and Cúige member Clíona O Kane welcomed delegates and handed over to Eric McGinley to conduct the election of officers. Anthony O'Neill from Glenullin was elected the new Chairman. At the close of the meeting Francie Brolly MLA and Sinn Féin spokesperson on culture reminded delegates of Sinn Féin's commitment to the promotion of the Irish language and expressed the hope that more work will be done in the next year.
