SINN FÉIN is urging everyone of eligible voting age to make sure they can exercise their right to vote in the Assembly and council elections being held on Thursday 5^th May and in the referendum being held on the same day.

Sinn Féin West Tyrone Assembly candidate Michaela Boyle has asked everyone to first ensure that they are on the Electoral Register.

The cut-off date to register is Apri 14th.

Secondly, everyone should ensure that they have one of the following forms of photographic ID:-

Official Electoral Office issued ID card

Irish or British passport

A North of Ireland or British driving licence with their photograph

Passport of any other EU member state

Translink 60+ Smart-Pass

Translink Senior Smart-Pass

Translink Blind Person’s Smart-Pass

Translink War Disabled Smart-Pass

Thirdly, if you are:-

Housebound due to illness;

A student away at university;

Working away from home during weekdays;

Or away on holiday on May 5^th . . .

You are entitled to apply for what is termed as an ABSENT POSTAL or PROXY vote.

The deadline to apply for an Absent Vote is April 11th.

Electoral Registration forms/Electoral ID  and/or postal/proxy registration forms can be downloaded from the Electoral Office website www.electoralofficeni.gov.uk or from local Sinn Féin offices.
