North Belfast death
Residents of the nationalist Whitewell area of North Belfast, who have been under constant loyalist attack over the past months, have expressed fears that they may be subjected to increased attacks after a road traffic accident left a 16-year-old boy dead.
Thomas McDonald, from the loyalist White City area, was hit by a car as he rode his BMX bike along the Whitewell Road. A 32-year-old woman arrested by the RUC is still being questioned about the incident.
In the aftermath, residents of the White City area branded the incident as sectarian and threatened nationalists.
