Ministers meet
Sinn Féin ministers Bairbre de Brún and Martin McGuinness met with their Irish government health and education counterparts Micheál Martin and Michael Woods on Wednesday morning to discuss the fracture in the North South Ministerial Council.
Speaking afterwards they said: ``Our departments are dealing with critical issues through the North South Ministerial Council including: Special Educational needs; Child protection; Under-achievement; Accident and emergency cover; and Cancer research.
``We need to be allowed to get on with the work that we are democratically mandated to do.''
