DEATH OF YOUSEF ALLAN
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams MP has expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Yousef Allan, the delegate-general of Palestine in Ireland, who died last Wednesday, 17 January.
Adams said: ``It was with deep sadness that I learnt of the death this evening of the Palestinian representative to Ireland, Yousef Allan. ``In recent years we worked with him on issues of concern to the people of Ireland and Palestine and knew him to be an active and tireless campaigner on behalf of the Palestinian people. He will be missed not just by his family and comrades but by all those who came to know him through his work in Ireland.
``I would like to extend the deepest sympathies of republicans everywhere to his wife Jane and family.''
