Death of Paul O'Dwyer
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams has expressed his shock and deep sadness at the death of Paul O'Dwyer in New York. Adams sent his sincerest condolences to Paul's wife, family and friends.
The Sinn Féín President said: ``Paul O'Dwyer was a lifelong champion of Irish freedom. Over five decades Paul worked unceasingly against discrimination and injustice, in Ireland, in the United States and internationally. He was a generous, funny and committed democrat who played a central role in keeping alive in the United States the desire for a united Irealnd. His death is a great loss. He will be missed.
