From Martin McGuinness's visit at the Tory Party conference in Birmingham
MARTIN McGUINNESS putting a strong challenge to Tory Secretary of State Owen Patterson on the question of the scale of cuts threatened.
At the 'Ulster fry' breakfast at Tory conference in Birmingham he argued that to renege on former Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s promise that spending levels to the Six Counties over 10 years would be hugely damaging
Martin McGuinness also said it is a critical point to ensure that nothing was done to stop economic growth or the progress made.
He also put a forceful case for an all-Ireland approach in order to stimulate investment and cut waste of having two separate economic and infrastructure systems on one small island.
