Bullet threat to youth

AN 18 YEAR OLD FROM Crumlin village outside Belfast fears for his life after a live bullet was posted through his door.

The young Catholic man who wishes to remain anonymous received a hand-delivered jiffy bag containing a letter from the UFF and the 9mm bullet on 22 October.

``The letter said I'd better get out and accused me of anti-social behaviour, but I know it is sectarian,'' the youth told An Phoblacht.

The young man is now living with relatives in the Andersonstown area of Belfast and said that he has no intention of going back to Crumlin. His mother has stayed in the house with her other three children despite a number of phone calls telling her she had better get out.

The young man reported the incident to the RUC and handed over the jiffy bag and its contents.
