RUC informer tactics continue
Sinn Féin councillor for Torrent Michael Gillespie has criticised the RUC for their continued harassment of young nationalists in the Dungannon area.
``A 22 year old man was stopped at Quarry Lane, Dungannon on 27 September and offered large sums of money for working `a while of a weekend','' Gillespie told said. ``They gave him the details of people, including nicknames and their workplaces and asked him to pass on information about them. The young man told the RUC he was having nothing to do with their activities and went straight away and reported the approach to his solicitor and his Sinn Fein councillor. It is important that people publicise these activities,'' Gillespie said.
