Overwhelming remain vote in Foyle
The Foyle constituency has become the first area in the north to declare a result in the EU referendum with a resounding vote to remain.
The result was announced at 12.30am at the count centre in the Foyle Arena.
32,064 voters backed remain while just 8,905 voted to leave.
Turnout was higher than at May's Assembly elections at 57 per cent compared to 55 just over a month ago. 40,987 voters turned out in the constituency, which mainly covers Derry city.
Earlier in the day both Martin McGuinness and Martina Anderson cast their votes in the constituency and urged others to vote remain.
Speaking after the result, Ms Anderson said; "This vote clearly shows that republicans and nationalists do not want to play any part in copperfastening partition and voted to remain."
