Assembly elections – Sinn Féin launches campaign for every constituency
SINN FÉIN launched its candidates for the May 5 Assembly elections in the Metropolitan Arts Centre (MAC) in the Cathedral Quarter of Belfast city centre on Thursday and set set out its vision of progressive politics for the next five years.
Gerry Adams, Mary Lou McDonald and Martin McGuinness launched Sinn Féin's team of 39 candidates – 15 of them women – who will stand in every constituency in the North.
At the launch, Martin McGuinness said that Sinn Féin have led from the front, delivering positive change and making a real difference to the lives of people across the North.
“We are now looking for a stronger mandate that will drive forward an ever more ambitious agenda of improvement and change.
“We have come an enormous distance and we must continue to move forward, build on the progress already made and to make a better future for all of our people,” the Sinn Féin deputy First Minister said.
